Hand Guards tasteless or practical
Hey Folks I'm back again with another dumb question. I'm thinking about fitting a pair of moto cross style handguards to my naked curvy and was curious about whether anyone else has done this already and can recommend some.
Or if I'm about to place a tasteless piece of tat to my beloved bike. I wouldn't ask except my wife keeps reminding me how bad my taste can be sometimes so I thought I'd try the valued opinion of you all. Cheers Rich |

Hey RandyO.
This has got to be too good to be true You're telling me that VStrom Hand Guards will fit straight on to my 2000, Y model, nekked, curvy That's awesome news dude, I always seem to have to modify whatever I attempt to fit to the bike. Nice you Cheers Rich |

WOW
Sent a general enquiry through Suzuki UK's website re. the guards this morning. Just had a phone call from Claycross Powersports to say they'd be emailed by Suzuki UK and would I like to order the Items for £23 incl. delivery. The whole things been done in 2 hours. Well chuffed When I get the guards and get them fitted I'll post some pics. Ben, RandyO and Razor thanks for the help, much appreciated. Rich |

Do you guys mean the type of plastic guards to keep the windblast off in winter or are they thin ones fixed to the bar ends to protect from branches? If the former, do the Vstrom ones fit a pointy SV ?(mines a K5), I've been meaning to get some for ages.

The strom ones are quite substantial so serve both purposes IIRC. There was a pic with an SV with some on somewhere once. If they are decently strong they will help prevent broken levers too

anyone know if they will fit a pointy sv "s" model without infringing on the steering lock?
