Default Dizzyblonde Tour de France

Finally I get a little time to myself so I shall begin to download a few pics to illustrate even I can get to France and back. We set off mid August and the blonde that can't fight her way out of a paper bag did about 1600 miles there and back. Im indoors navigated through the Uk and once we were off the ferry at the other side I found that neither bloke would lead the way, and the meanies forced me into taking them through France to Les Nouillers( which is between Rochefort and Cognac) I've never ridden over there, so I think to get us all there in one piece was a mammoth task
So here goes a few at a time cause I is a busy mummy

We rolled off the ferry at about 8.30pm and It was really scary to start riding on the wrong side of the road. There is a really nice B&B in Peuplingues that is just outside Calais that is biker friendly. I'd already booked it so they werre expecting us, I was a little nervous being the only French speaker and didn't know what to expect, but it was cheap, really comfy and had a liittle bit more of a personal touch that us ladies prefer, and was a lot better than expected

One of the many tarts handbags we were to encounter along the way

This guy appeared to follow us, small reg plate, but they got even smaller the further we went

my best mate who owns a 1977 z1000 A1, which will follow shortly

These were taken in Surgeres on a trip out with the kids..Rory(who has learning difficulties) took great pleasure in 'driving' the Raptor and the FZ6, clinging on with the 'love handles'!!

and so you see, you can get a kebab anywhere...even in the depths of France, this one however was open in the afternoon...must be something to do with the French drinking at any time of the day

bambikiller got her karma reversed when trying to sort out her ticket on one of the many boring peages. stood on chevrons behind a booth and nearly had her foot ran over by a very heavy tanker, so I almost traded the sv for this in St.Jean

an Sv wherever you go. not as nice as mine

Le chateau, Les Nouillers..no matter how hard we tried we couldn't find a way up to the front door, just the back through the woods

the only photo on the way back was this..in a freak dry spell, the rain was so bad we couldn't see the trucks in front of us and could only ride at about 70mph. I really wanted to stop at some of the many viaducts to take some cause the views were spectacular. There were also lots of signs warning of deer along the way, or should that be they were warning the deer!!
After 11 hours on the road we finally made it to Calais and stayed in the B&B we booked in Peuplingues, we arrived at 10 at night and the nice lady realised how wet and cold we were and brought us soup to warm us up.After all the rain we were wet and knackered. I'd rung my gloves and jacket out in many service stations along the way. we went to bed and were rudely woken by a lightening storm, our mate Pual got up to have a fag and couldn't get out of the door because the rain was pounding that hard against the door.....And WE RIDDEN BACK IN THAT!!! it followed us all the way. We Managed to get on an earlier ferry the next day, cause everything was still wet and we wanted to get home, where we met rather a lot of folk coming back from the Chec republic moto GP
