Default Symtec heated grips - fitting advice?

I posted in the Tech 7 heated grips thread, but not sure if it got noticed.

Was wondering if anyone else has fitted the Symtec heater elements on their bike?

They need a live that's only live when the ignition is on....what's the best/easiest/cleanest bet? Headlight feed?

Any other hints/tips for fitting them?

Thanks

Use the thick orange wire at the fusebox. It's an ignition switched live and the one all the other heated grips makers recommend you use. Don't scotchlok into the wire, it'll cause a lot of resistance and leave it open to corrosion, carefully strip it back and solder in a feed off it and fit the fuse as close to the fusebox as possible for safety and ease of access. Remove the battery from the bike first and only reconnect it when every connection has been properly made and insulated.

Lol...I have the DL650 handguards AND winter gloves, but my hands were STILL cold.

These puppies should let me wear my summer gloves all year round.
