Default idle cable problems

hey guys i am brand new to this site and the SV...just bought one yesterday and love it. I am trying to re-attach the idler "nob or wheel" ( not sure of the exact name) back to the original position on the left side of the motor...it sits right underneath the gas tank and is a real pain to get to with an alan key...any help or suggestions would be great..thanks guys..

Can you get a ball ended allen key to it?

It has a hex ball on the end which means you don't have to insert the key square into the bolt head. You can insert it at an angle.

Can you adjust the idle screw with an allen key? I thought it was a thumbscrew, with a phillips head cut in it for the tool users?

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding the question. The idle ajuster's not where it should be and is caught up under the tank somewhere? If that's so, the fix would be to lift the tank, remove the airbox, possibly remove the carbs, move the cable over. It goes under the carbs through the vee.
