Default tyre wear

I've noticed I'm getting a lip on the leading edge of my rear tyre, searching looks like it is a rebound issue is this the case? It does feel a bit pogo like over consecutive bumps.

are you sure that its on the leading edge?

look for the direction arrow on your tyre then look at the sipes the leading edge is the one at the front of the arrow.

its rare that the leading edge has a lip and would indicate that the rebound is turned pretty much full on.

a lip on the leading edge indicates either rebound too slow (H) or spring/valving is not right.

Oh no then it's at the back of the arrow so when viewed from the rear the lip is on the lower edge

Um hang on that is the leading edge isn't it? Taken from the rear it's the edge just above my finger.

your finger is on the trialling edge, think about what way your wheel goes round.

thats classic too fast (S) a rebound or a worn shock. if the erosion is on every leading edge then its rebound but if its worse on some and not others then its a worn shock.

if its on every sipe then turn your adjuster 3 clicks or 1/4-1/3 turn to H unless its a standard shock then there is nowt you can do.

remember there is nothing you can do about the erosion on the leading edge apart from not let it get any worse and it should flatten out as the tyre wears down. if it keeps eroding then add another 1-2 clicks to H

I assumed that was the leading edge because as the tye rotates it is the first part of that block of tread to contact the tarmac.
Standard shock unfortunately so nothing I can do about it yet.

This is a front with rebound damping set too low with the arrow showing tyre direction.

So it's the grove not the block

Thanks for that, so I need more adjustability in my rear shock than the oe offers. Why is this, would it do it on all tyres with the oe sv shock or is it my riding style?
