Default Tyre valve

Is it possible to replace the tyre valve when the stem has broken near to where it passes through the rim?

Default Re: Tyre valve

Tyre valves have to be fitted from inside the rim, the end inside the rim is too big to go through hole in rim ( and the pressure helps keep th valve in place and sealed ) - don't know if this will work

They should replace the valve every time you get a tyre replaced, it the tyre has an innertube ( most but not all spoked rims have a tube inside ) then the new valve comes as part of the new innertube. Alloy rims should be tubeless and the valve is a separate replaceable part, but sometimes if the alloy rim goes porous and leaks air they will put a tube in.
