Default Chain Tool

Hi All

Has anyone got one of these chain tools http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MOTORCYCLE-CHA...QQcmdZViewItem

I am thinking of getting a Tsubaki chain and want to know if this tool will be suitable.

Thanks

Yes it will, had one of these kits for a number of years, used properly they work fine, you can use them on each pin individually so will fit almost any chain, the make of chain isn't to important, however size is, the sv takes a 525 I think (also used on 520 & 530), which won't be a problem.

Cheers Mark.

Yes the SV is a 525, and that kit is the same as the one I use which works a treat.

One hint - don't overdo the last step - rivetting the soft link. First time I did one I went too far and rather than just squashing the end of the soft link enough to stop it coming out, I actually split the end. Rather than worry about the link breaking I got another soft link.

HTH Cheers Keith
