Nothing to do with trying to do too much too soon, and everything to do with how the head honcho is more than a tad crooked...

Did anyone see the pics of the bike a customer took back in for work that was stripped of parts by Norton to put on someone elses bike!? Seriously dodgy stuff going on there and it'a ll appearing on social media now that employees are spilling the beans.

And that wasn't the only example. How about the bloke who arrived at Norton to collect ten bikes, and every single one had had the frame numbers changed and used to build a different bike for a different customer. Or the bloke who rang about a warranty issue and was told the part number of the piece that he had to replace, and told to go and buy it and fit it himself. Or the customised bike that Norton sold 'with a full warranty' despite the fact that it wasn't just unroadworthy but downright dangerous?
A tragic shame as the bikes were actually quite good, but the factory was run by a crook.

I know a dealer that was a Norton dealer, 4 attempts to collect customer bikes (not ready everytime). Confirmed by Norton that will be ready on X, sent a driver down paid the money due.
Phone call, won't be ready for another week (driver is literally outside).
Order cancelled and the 100k transaction reversed by the bank and Norton td to shove it.

This was in the early days.

Garner burned a engine builder in the early days of production too

Couldn't be many engine builders working on 1200 lumps, they had to go back to the Aprilia 1000 to be able to run at IOM
