Re: help with oxford tailpack
ahhh... thanks for the advice guys. i didnt get a base with it and they guy at HG pointed out that there's no base (hence it being £15 cheaper).
geodude - thanks for the pic! i know what i'm looking for now. i've seen separate tank bases but not tailpack bases. looks like i'll have to wait til payday again to get a base for it, or see what i find in london! cheers! |

One on eBay, not 100% it's exactly the right one for your bag, would be best to check part numbers. |

Re: help with oxford tailpack
Make sure you get the one that fits your year of manufacture. The packs changed shape a couple of years back and the older base won't fit the newer pack or vice versa. I speak from experience......

Re: help with oxford tailpack
My mates Kreiga ripped itself off the seat (tore through the straps) and got airborne on the M1 at about 90mph...
...just sharing ...do these things come with speed restrictions or warnings/guarantees/warranties?? |

*goes off to nervously check pack straps for signs of fraying* I just checked the booklet that came with mine and it says only tested to UK legal speeds. Though can't see how it would rip through the strap and bungee cords, given that it's in your slipstream. Unless there's a securely attached rain cover acting as a parachute, or something is rubbing on the strap. |

Re: help with oxford tailpack
I've never had a problem with mine at any speed. If I put the rain cover on I help secure it with a bungee all the way round the outside of the pack.
