The show isn't funded by licence payers really, it's owned wholly by BBC World who are the commercial arm of the BBC. Previously Clarkson owned 50% of the show but he sold his share in 2012, which makes it easier for the BBC to get rid of him.

Suppose it's not quite as bad then.

Shame it's not on though, it's the only program I actually use my TV tuner for.

Like a lot of people with too much money, they have no real problems in their life, so when ever things don't go to suit them....drama!!
This seems to effect movie and TV stars at a much higher rate than the rest of the world or maybe you just hear about it more.

One of my wife's mates suffers greatly from this and spends countless hours stressing over things the rest of us would find trivial when in fact she lives a life most only dream of.

I still like Clarkson though, it's him that makes the show.

As twee as it seams .The current format relies on the "Clarkson " factor so much it would not be the same show. IMOO

Fair enough punish Clarkson, if I did that in my job I'd be fired on the spot, but I can't see how wasting lisence fee money and depriving TG fans of stuff they've already filmed is approiriate.
Yeah over food or something it just said on radio 2.

I agree. I was quite looking forward to the rest of the series tbh.

He does get away with a lot though. The things he does and says.

If were honest we all watch it to see him being a muppet. That's what the show's all about.
Epic road trips, smashing stuff up, expensive cars we can't afford and Clarkson being a ****.

And we all love it for it...really wouldn't be the same without him. Who else could take the **** out of a Robin Reliant as well?

Oh yeah, I'm sure the guy is a grade A tosspot, he's a spoilt toff with no sense of what the real world is like.

A lot of people at the BBC are probably like that though. I think the stuff he does is just more widley reported because it's good publicity for the show.
