Default If you bought a new SV, what would you add to it first?

You're looking at the Poll, so you may as well vote . . . .

If you select 'something else' Please specify . . . .

While you are doing that, if you know of where to get whatever it is you would add, and a price, please post these.

That way, if anyone likes your ideas, they can figure out where to get them, without starting a new set of questions running! - Post Pics too if you have them!

The cheapest (well free really) modification I would do would be to drop the forks through the yokes by 5mm. Sharpens the steering beautifully!

I said crash bungs, because it seems to be a common thing... You buy it, you drop it Protect your investment

I've picked suspension beacsue that is one of the things that has made my SV excellent instead of just good. I've fitted bridgestone 010 front and 020 rear tyres, crash bungs, a race pipe, hugger and had the front forks set up with Ohlins springs etc

Crash bungs, without a doubt. I fitted R&G, but thankfully haven't had to test them out yet (touch wood!)

Other:

Good tyres (Bridgestone 020s or better). Swiftly followed by a can.

What crash bungs do you folks recommend
Also, my bike is throwing chainwax (just putting on a light coating not bucket fulls) up the front of my left boot, is this a common problem with SV's and is the Scottoiler a lot better

I think the Scottoiler is worth it's weight in gold... It's fit & forget

I voted for suspension. My front of my '99 SV is clunky over the bumps. I am 12.5 stone. This is the only thing that irritates me about an otherwise excellent bike.

Of course, since buying it stock standard, I've added a Scorpion race can and an undertray but I'm getting to the front suspension soon!
