8 more weeks left. I found an antiques market with old books, jewellery communist memorabilia etc. Chairman Mao watches and 60s stuff but no cameras.

I saw that, I bet it works fine. Well I went to Spain, took three pictures, and came home. Alas my iphone is scrap after forgetting which pocket it was in when it rained. Trying to round up an SE. We spent about 8 hours a day riding back and forth across the Pyrenees, so not much time to stop for pictures, despite many opportunities. Where there is a viewpoint (in Spain) there is sometimes a sign with a picture of a rollfilm folding camera, vertically, complete with both roll pivots, shorty cable release, and brilliant VF. Anyway I hope the three came out, will have to shoot the other 5. Roads were awesome on the Spanish side, bit rubbish mainly on the French side. Route 66 may be some sort of American dream, the N260 is actually the road to Nirvana.

Yeah. Going to see the pandas. Will take the X700 + zoom.

Well, that was a waste of time and a weight round my neck for nothing. As usual it was grey, and the pandas are in enclosures surrounded by trees and bamboo. It was too dark. The zoom set to the 3.8 minimum f stop was offering a 1/30 shutter speed. Tried a couple on 1/60 using manual but don't hold out much hope.
Took loads on the digital though, with the added bonus of image stabilisation. Will post a few up later on pic of the day. It was really busy but the majority of Chinese aren't exactly tall and were all taking pics on the mobiles. I just stood behind them with a zoom and snapped away no problem.

Its a shame that the weather never plays ball, but at least you had you digital camera with you just incase. I wonder how mamu film shots have been lost over the years because of that very reason.

The lens will probably end up on my OM20 if I can sort out the iso dial.
