Mushrooms
Hello All,
I have recently purchased some impact mushrooms And i can not understand how they attach to the bike?? I have removed the engine bolt and then there doesnt seem to be any way of "fixing" them to the bike? Does anyone else have these mushrooms? And how they attach?? Cheers |

They dont attach to the engine bolt, the attach to the bolt jut infront and above from the main bolt. The bolt is on a tab fromt he frame (Its the best i can describe for you)
Put some grease/copper ease on the bolts. I didnt and it cost me £150 to have the snapped bolt removed! |

Is it a bad sign that I didn't think this post was going to have anything to do with bikes?

No, to the right of that one, and down a bit, just above the radiator hose

That's about it. I had very similiar Motrax DHMs- the replacements for the Top Blox- and I was well unimpressed with the design. You end up with a huge bolt-and-spacer on the right hand side, which makes it weaker than I liked- plus, it's just an M10 bolt so it's not as strong as, say, a JHS bung or a Motoslider or GSG Moko. The left was reasonably strong and worked well, mind.

I had a set of these on my SV and they look ok but the rhs one folded in as soon as i lobbed the bike down the road on it's rhs at about 15mph. Personally i wasn't impressed with them.

Yep, my DHMs- same sort of thing- stripped the thread when I removed them, they'd never even touched the ground and they broke. I reckon I could headbutt one off One for the AR maybe.

Is it only me who saw the thread title and combined it with the time of year, and assumed something very different was being discussed? |
