It was an FM2 but I couldn't get the electrics or the mechanics to work. It was completely jammed.

I would have haggled. There is a guy called PPP Camera Repairs who may have been able to fix it.

I could have haggled but it comes down to how much you want the cameras. Repaired and fully working, both would be great machines but a professional repair would likely cost £100+ for each. Harrow technical (Pentax specialists) quote £116 for servicing a KX. I already have the Spotmatic, K1000 MX along with a Nikon FM, which I'm not particularly wowed with, so didn't want to commit to the extra outlay.

I was more interested in the KX. But then again, it only had a microprism focus screen.

The lens bundle arrived today. The Tamron 60-300 is an intriguing beast. A little fungus in one of the middle elements but otherwise it's good. Came with an m42 AD mount too.
Takumar and Tessar are both clear. The Tessar focus is stiff but so was mine when I got it (solidified grease). It's on the radiator at the moment. They are easy to work on and degrease but DON'T take the helicoids apart. Apparently there are something like 17 possible location points.
No caps at either end but it's yours if you want it

I tried the Adaptall 60-300 out on the EM10 today and was quite impressed. A couple of samples below. Second one is a bit milky because I took it through the living room window but at 10 metres, the detail is quite impressive. I might keep this.

Weather doesn't look great tomorrow so I'll probably head down to the camera fair and take a look.
