They have gone up quite a bit. I bought a US5 6 years ago for £39. They are now about £75.
My US20 2 years ago was £99.

Worth it though. Neither have ever leaked.

Happy with the quality.
Owned for a long time.
Never let you down.
Totally waterproof.

Take a US-20 at £130, and let's assume that that a long time equates to 6 or 7 years shall we? That equates to £18 to £21 per year. For something that does exactly what it's designed and expected to do.

I'd call that good value.

FWIW I have a few Kriega pieces already that I have had for years and if I ever needed to add to them or replace any of them I wouldn't even look at anything else, I'd go straight to Kriega again, based in the above.

yes but when you have the likes of THIS on the market then the Kriega stuff looks extortionate. BTW the Kriega stuff is only waterproof on the inside "pocket" the outer is not waterproof.

There's your answer then. Buy that instead.

The Kriega stuff looks expensive as they have R&D costs to consider, and i would say their materials and construction is also better.
If you think Kriega has a price, look at Lone Rider gear. It's pricey but extremely good. Designed to be used off road in extreme environments.
I have one of their 48L Overlander Bags.

I have a Kriega messenger bag, used daily for about 3 years and looks like new and a R35 backpack that I think I used twice (I'm too err big to comfortably use it nowadays).

Mostly these day's I'm using a generic 'military style' over shoulder bag that holds what may need so I don't have phones and crap in my pockets and that cost about 10 quid.

The R35 will probably just be destrapped and used on the luggage rack if I end up on an overnighter for some camera kit i really want to keep dry.
