So glad I made the effort to get there, even just for the Saturday evening. Great to catch up with everyone I haven't seen for ages, and meet a few new people as well.

And again, massive thanks to Cheryl for organizing it all and thanks to Stretchie for not getting in her way too much as she was doing it.

Where to begin...... a few things that stand out for me.

waiting for the sun to rise Friday morning.

engaging the "no traffic" option for a truly awesome ride to Taunton for breakfast.

A great blat across exmoor...twice.

Putting up my tent in the dry.

going for a packet of fags, and coming back after 70 miles....

seeing the Soho lot pass me in Hereford, setting off back 5 minutes later and still getting back before them....

seeing old friends and making new ones

fixing a puncture or three.

screaming a speed 4 on a 10 mile circuit in 10 minutes......:0

finding out Kate rode an SV, didn't she do well ( I love the fact over time, you get to see partners progress like this, well done to all those in that position).

on the second to last section, allowing Squirrel Hunter to pass to catch the rest of the markers, and him giving it some beans, me thinking why not and being the same distance away when he throttled back.....

a clear road ahead on the last section for a few miles, enjoyed that

just after crossing the bridge at Glasbury, shooting passed everyone to get a shot of everyone entering the camp site.

a half hour chat about bikes with our catering man.

A young lady making my bike even prettier on the trip back.

remembering said young lady was there when going into fish hill at a rate.

A long but interesting route home and Jamie's rather quiet briefing.

taking my boots off at the end of the day..

regrets..... a few people I ,ment to talk to but didn't.

the knee limiting me to getting round, but that was to be expected I suppose.

the sensible, if boring choice of crashing early Saturday night, so as to be "on the ball" the following day for the ride home.

But all in all a cracking weekend, be it rain or shine, hundreds or just tens (yes I remeber that far back), the folks from the .Org always make it a brilliant time.

Cheers Mark.

You know the point of the "fast" group (and I prefer the less relaxed group by the way) wasn't to get there quicker but to avoid the motorways don't you? Job done!!!

so many memories...

The amazing feeling I had having reached the first stop in one piece!

My excitement at finally overtaking someone, Quiff and Mandy are my witnesses!

Spending an afternoon in bed with Mrs Biscuit (again!) and laughing so much i was crying!

Being rammed in the bottom by stretchie!

Finally being able to approach GG's dogs and spend time with Tess and Jake, Sampson and Belle

So many happy memories!

A few of my favourite bits:

Arriving at the site to massive hugs from everyone, having almost not been able to come to the AR at all - really cheered me up!

Catching up with everyone who I haven't seen since the last AR (and yet they still greet you like a mate they see all the time and you just start taking the p*** out of each other! )

Watching all the newbies being 'greeted' by Bear

Seeing all the bikes lined up & taking off on Saturday morning - it took a full 5 mins for the pack to leave. The noise was awesome!

BaP taking down S_H's tent on Sunday morning - funny as hell with a hangover!

Girth's various antics, from Dangerous Dave's appearance to the horse suit and then blowing up a glow-in-the-dark condom on his head on Saturday night. You're a legend mate!
