Re: Delkevic 350mm
Thanks for the reply's.
I ordered the Delkevic 350mm and it arrived yesterday so i'm going to fit it this weekend. My question is 'where do i cut the existing exhaust?'. I've seen various people saying anything from 50mm to 65mm from the weld line. Where did you cut yours? Thanks, Rob. |

Re: Delkevic 350mm
That's what I was thinking, don't want to cut it at 50mm and find its too short.

Re: Delkevic 350mm
cut longer if unsure then cut again if you need to, 60mm should be more than enough

Re: Delkevic 350mm
I cut longer at 55 mm, as others have said i didn't want to cut too short. I used an angle grinder with a very narrow cutting disk. wrapped the pipe in some masking tape, marked all the way round, cut through by about 99% then cut the final sliver with a hack saw blade. Be careful when you are almost through, that you are not going to cut into the swinging arm. Then i filed away any burrs on the end of the pipe. It took me about 5 or 10 minutes to do the cut. I went slow and careful 'cos i didn't want to c0ck it up.

Re: Delkevic 350mm
I fitted it yesterday, cut at 60mm and it went on fine, a lot easier than I thought it would be. Went out for a 25 mile ride and it sounds great, nice deep sound and no popping or banging. Looks great, very happy.
