Fork Springs - SV650.org

are the Fork springs the same in the old bike as the new bike??? I called WP again today and they told me the springs that I had ordered last month had eventually come in, and then mentioned they were for the new shape bike...

Sadly I own the old shape will the springs be ok???

What a F*cking great company, I was told I'd get the fork springs in 3 days, now over a month and a Half later they get me the wrong f*cking springs!!!

Argh, you'd think WP would be a quality company, or is it just their importers that are crap...

There's always Maxton (from Maxton), progressive (from Busters) and Ohlins (from Harris) - all no more than 24 hours away if they post them.

He wanted WP because they're more exclusive I think

Personally I suspect that the reaosn they're relatively unusual on the SV is that most dealers got sick of dealing with them

Whereas I chose Ohlins purely so they matched the rear. If I buy a steering damper, it'll have to be Ohlins as well

It occurred to me that most people buy their springs without giving any actual thought to spring rate, I know I did... As it turns out mine are a good rate for an 11 stone weakling but that was pure luck.

I had a good long chat with the guy at K-Tech B4 I did anything... Its good to talk...

Should have just gone to them in the first place, but we'll see what turns up...

You can use the old springs in the new bike, but you can't use the new springs in the old one huh
