Busted achilles on both from 20 odd years of football, busted shoulder from too much Boxing and a beer gut from too much post-training refreshment. One will be a miracle, believe me. New York Marathon 2012 is the goal though. (Dream on).

Yesterday I realised that after Sunday I've got no more races lined up

I must rectify this situation

I ran day before yesterday. Just can't keep away. 6 miles. Well it should have been, but being new to the area I got a bit losted and think I probably did nearer to 7 miles. Considering going out again tomorrow morning. I really do not know when to stop. Oh well.

My hand might have slipped and filled in a 5k application thingy

So 5 weeks to train I figure its enough time to actually be able to finish the whole thing at least jogging right?

Excellent

5 weeks is plenty of time. How far are you running normally at the moment?
