Re: The running thread!
Sarah.. not really sure on the distance´s Im running/walking as my gps on phone never seems to track properly. I think it is between 2 and 3 miles each time I am out right now. I am now managing to run continually for one mile so I hope to be able to increase that over the 5 weeks?

Re: The running thread!
Been looking at theses events for a while now, http://www.mightcontainnuts.com/store/index.php?main_page=page&id=16. The 30m in October sounds good, plus its on my door step.
the other plan is to run the entire length of the Brecon and Monmouthshire canal (about 35miles). This month hope to beat my "most miles in a month record" (186M) So the canal run could be sooner rather than later.

Re: The running thread!
I've been doing 6 miles a day for a while and it's getting effin' boring. Already listen to music and stop to do press-ups and sit-ups etc.
What can I do, agony aunts? |

Re: The running thread!
I do the same routes and it defo gets boring so I often go for run on the way home from work in the morning, I do the same rough distance but a change of scenery/ terrain etc makes a nice change, doesnt always work tbh sometimes you just gotta put your head down and go for it, just don't get lost like I once did up in the lakes. I parked my truck up in a layby outside muncaster castle in cumbria and went for a nice easy 30 min bimble, 2 hrs later I finally got back to my wagon, my boss was well impressed...............................

Re: The running thread!
The trick i find is to stay motivated. There are many ways of doing this, the best i find is to make use of some of the online running sites out there (try http://www.fetcheveryone.com/ or the Nike + site)
Failing that enter a race. best of luck
