Must have something to do with the physiological effect the cold has on you muscles too.

Yesterday, I had a cold head, because I wasn't wearing a cap, although its got an aero shell which keeps the wind off. My feet were toasty, as I was wearing overshoes, which has a big effect on my moral

Had I stopped to put on a cap under my helmet, I wonder how much better I would have felt?

Without a doubt.

I don't think cold head affects how I feel until it's so cold that I get a headache.

The worst thing for me is I get lower back ache when it's below about 4 degrees no matter how warm I wrap up

Well i hope and I'm sure it will be, short sleeves and shorts weather.

I quite fancy going there in October on Stephen Roche's Tour of the Lighthouses organised holiday.

Friends went last October they said it was too hot and they had problems with poor driving as there were still British holiday makers there. One of them had been on our trip in March which he said was much better and he wouldn't be going back in October again.

Useful to know, although the plan at the moment is France in September

My brother has just got back from his second training camp this winter - I wish I had the fitness to warrant going on one!

I'm too old for training camps, its purely recreational cycling for me, it just involves big mountains when I can.

I have to train from January to September to make sure I can get up them
