3. Bandit 600 - about 2hrs after I bought it

2. Sorry - but IMHO this is NOT something to do on the open road - trackdays - a whole different ballgame (but I've never done either) !!

1. Every time I go out on a bike - no matter how long or short the journey

3. Yamaha RD400, May 1979 the moment it clocked over 1000 miles on the odometer I held the throttle wide open and didn't back off until the bike would go no faster - 115mph on the clock. I'd owned the bike 4 days.
2. Kawasaki AR125. Summer 1986 round the Goldington Rd gyratory system in Bedford (a big roundabout with an office block and car park in the middle). I was on a borrowed bike going to sign on the dole at the aforementioned office block. I had no knee sliders (no-one did in 1988 ) and wore a hole in the cheapo leather jeans I was wearing and burnt my knee.
1. Honda VF400F. Long weekend trip to St Tropez, September 1988 with the super-sexy 18 yr old ex Lisanne as pillion.

Copy of "a twist of the wrist" I have describes how you need to be careful where you put your knee down as the layers of gaffer tape only last so long and they need to last the full race!

3. Stan Stephens Stage 3 tuned TZR125 with YPVS October 1990 A55 to Bangor
2. Llandudno , around the Great Orme April 1991 on the above TZR , ruined a pair of Levi 501`s
1. Never been abroad but passing my test , buying the SV and giving it a great big handful for the first time ever being followed by 2 mates . A whole lot of years on 125`s and illegally riding bigger bikes just melted away in a strangely tranquil moment that faded into one of the most memorable days I have ever spent on a bike .
