Default Little warning for Vectra C Owners

The low brake pad warning is not connected to the rear pads, so you still need to check them manually. I now need a new disk after 400 miles of metal to metal grinding and noisy brakes

That is all...

(PS: A Vectra 'C' is any car post 2002)

Was the 400 miles of metal to metal grinding and noisy brakes not a clue then?

Aye, who's a clever clogs tonight?

Not when the first 200 are done by your wife who suddenly decides to tell you there's a "funny noise" and the second half are done by you when you have no choice but to drive the car, outbound and return both long before and long after kwik-fit opens and closes. I've been out in the dark tonight at the first opportunity with an inspection lamp to get the wheel off and have a look, expecting to dislodge a piece of grit or something as I knew the pads weren't that low last time I looked. Handbrake only operates the one side and the other side has about 4mm left, so my darling wife must have decided to try a journey with the handbrake on! Women cannot be trusted with vehicles, especially pretty blonde women with large vehicles. Give them a battered old Fiesta

my rear pads had to be changed at the 40,000 service. My vectra must eat them as well as the tyres and fuel. Worst car I have ever owned, once the lease is up it will be my last ever vauxhall.

150 SRI

Turbo lag
runs out of top end
uncomfortable
out of date sat nav when delivered
noisy
no heated front screen
crap a/c
poor cornering/handling

My mondao st220 was a far better mile muncher. Ford again next time.

I only got the Vectra as I had had 4 mondaos (a delight after 2 rovers) and wanted some different and the only other make on the company list was a puegot 407

She wasn't driving it in Northampton on Sunday was she? I was down there on the bike and followed one with smoke billowing out from each rear wheel. I didn't see the driver, but they seemed completely oblivious -30mph zone and traffic was moving maybe 20 so I'm not sure how they missed the stench or noise of it. I had my wife on the back of the bike -told her to remember that smell and pull over immediately if she ever smells it in her car.

You know I check the oil on my bike before the little light comes on the dashboard. And occasionally change the coolant before it gets corroded up, overheats and the little light comes on on the dashboard.
You don't need an electronic nanny with everything if you occasionally service your phucking veehickle.

Don't know what the issue is with checking such things either, they're cheap as chips compared to bike parts.

And as for letting the woman drive it, what is she doing out of the kitchen?
