Default Manx Info

Hi, just wondering whats the tyre of choice, and gearing set up to make an assult on the Manx GP. Also whats the life of tyres there ,one lap, two, or lots more, as we are trying to put together a budget for the newcomers race and the supertwins race. Thats for a curvy with a fat B*$**** on it, smack on the 72 bhp not a big hp super twin. Any info would be great.

Just go with standard gearing ontill you have done a few laps then you will know which direction to go in, I would use pirelli's used for practice and new for the race.

I used SC's for practice and racing at the Manx last year in both Necomers and Ultra Lightweight Races.
I had major machine issues during practice week so only got out twice and while I completed the Newcomers I could only get 2 laps out of the bike and DNF'd the Ultra LW.

In total I did 5 laps during practice and 6 laps of racing. I put in a fresh set for practice week and after seeing the wear on the tyre at the end of the week I decided 1 set would see me through both races.

Cheers.
