Default tyre wear

hi all

My front tyre's chicken strips seem to be a hell of a lot smaller than the rear tyre's ones and it is worrying me a little. If i become more confident and lean it over more, i fear id be rolling off the front tyre face...

The tyre pressures all seem to be good and proper but it worries me that maybe im positioning my weight wrongly when turning, or maybe the suspension is set up for someone of a different weight?

any thoughts?

I have a 2005 sv650s btw

Cheers

I think it depends on the tyre profile. Nick the gr33k mentioned this on the sv the other day. what tyres are they? I wouldn't worry about it tbh unless you are right on the edge of the front at the moment.

My other half wears her fron tyres in the same way, fronts have virtually no chicken strip with a little to go on the rear

Depends size and profile of tyre
Pressures
Riding style.

Unless your scraping bits pegs and toe sliders on every single corner, then I wouldnt be worrying about it to much TBH.

Thanks guys.
theyre pirelli diabolos - the rear is a good bit newer than the front.

It could just be my riding style - im still getting my confidence/technique sorted when cornering. knowing where to place my bodyweight and such.
just worried me a little when i noticed it as im nowhere near getting my knee down
