Question Do I need to adjust air fuel mix on 05 sv650?

I have a 2005 sv650s stock standard. I am about to fit a yoshi slip on exhaust pipe and a K&N air filter to improve sound and a little hp. I believe the 03 - 05 sv has fuel injection, I have only seen advice for 99 - 03 sv's on air/fuel mixture when adding these modifications. Does anyone have advice for me on whether my air fuel mixture has to be adjusted and how?

ive done the same with a carbon stubby and a K&N, im getting mine dyno'd but ive just purchased a power comander PCIII so im getting it all mapped in so i can change the map if i need to, i doubt you will see much performance increase whilst your on the stock settings, but id get it tuned to the after market parts you have installed

Is the power comander PCIII a management system installed on the bike to remap the air/fuel ratio? (sorry its a newby question but I am new to this). Is it essential if you add a filter and slip on pipe? (as I dont want the bike to run too lean) How much did it set you back? I might want one!

The power commander is an aftermarket device, which enables some tuning / tweaking of the otherwise mostly untweakable stock fuel injection system. Generally, a slip-on will not affect the fueling too much, although its a differant story with a full aftermarket system

See how the bike goes first before worrying about the fueling

Thanks Matt.
I'll be sure to add a pic of mine to my profile soon.
I quite like the top box you've got, its one of the add ons i plan to do as my girlfriend complains about the back pack on long trips as a passenger.

Aye me to. I think and I might be wrong but this is what the Yoshi box does. I think a power commander does the same thing but gives your more options but it costs a lot more.

TEKA mapping changes the stock ECU maps, allows some adjustment, enough to sort out can and filter anyway.

PC3 is way more adjustable for other things than fuelling and you can also mess around with it via a computer, which is cool.
