well i have a good core and sides on the new one, but old one is bent and dented so just eugh.
New one needs a rub down spray up and transfer of braket across.

only problem is my dad may have bought a rad for a rc24....hes 3000 miles away so useless, thats why i was wondering if it would fit.

If he has bought an RC24 rad I'd be very interested in it (if decent), mine broke a tab on the screen which then flapped until it wore a hole in the rad. I fixed it with stop-leak but could do with a new one.

I have bought an 'RC24' rad which turned out to be an RC36 rad, guy claimed he was 100% certain it came from an RC24 so in theory you could probably make it fit.

The piping is the same but the mounts are different, especially the bottom ones.

I may have an RC36 rad, I'll have a look when I get home.

oooo well tell me when you know if it's a rc36 aqnd its condition.

only real difference i can see is the bracket for the bottom of the rad....simple bit of metal bending could sort things out with an extra bit of metal on the end.

I can't remember if I sold it on ebay or not but I did have one[1].

Depends on if it comes with a fan or not, fan mounting is different too.

[1] I bought a load of RC36 bits *just* for a set of calipers that were included (technically I just wanted the brackets[2]), was cheaper than buying the calipers and made my money back on selling the other bits.

[2] Plan was to fit newer VFR forks then gave up that plan when I realised the RC36 forks were about 10cm shorter than the FJ/FK ones.

im sure ill work some way around it though.

if not there are plenty more...or i might just sell up all the bits ive got and buy a brand new partent rad.

Well if I have one its hiding really well[1], I can't find it where I thought it would be. I'll have a look in the boxes of RC24 bits but that is a weekend job just to get to them.

Let me know if you want to sell the RC24 rad.

Ill let you know if it even gets sent (dad gone mad afar) so not a clue atm. do you remember what sort of condition it was in when you could find it?

will keep the updates coming too and more pics soon.

Actually got a day free this weekend so it will be
-clean off all fairings and start primering bellypan and fix it up.
-fit new front discs (maybe)
-drain coolant

and if i have time shout at it a little.

it was a bit tatty but straight and from sealing the outlets and filling with water seemed leak free.

My garage is really full and the boxes with spares are right at the back so it involves musical bikes just to get to them atm.

Thats fine...atm i havent got a clue whats coming and going for this bike anymore, so you have all the time in the world.

Today i got the rad off. flushed the system ect.

my worry is that the coolant while mostly green also had some red in it and the two colours seperated once stood for a min....
Mixed two different coolants? or somthing more devious?
