Does any one know what types of racing engine parts are available to put in the 2nd gen SV650

providing you can hand the engine to steve jordan at SJ motorcycles then you can have a nice 700cc kit fitted plus a skimmed head, lightened and balanced internals all for about £1200.

Shoudl see a healthy HP rise of 72hp to 80ish. this is assuming you allready have the full exhaust system, filter etc fitted?

It's been done, but very rarely- you can make the stock bottom end unreliable with natural aspiration, so blowing it doesn't make much sense. And if you're redoing the bottom end you're spending really, truly silly money As in, "Buy a Mille" money.

Not that I'm one to talk here, mind
