bad engine response, suzuki sv650 2016 model

for a few months now i´ve noticed my 2016 year model suzuki sv650 has a worse engine response than before.
for example in 6th gear the revs don´t get past 7800 rpm, and overall i´m noticing less power/torque, in 3rd gear it used to boost in the 5000 rpm area and then again near the 7000 rpm, not anymore .
this problem started about the same time i replaced de stock muffler for a GPR Ghisa muffler (maybe the problem is related to the muffler swap or jut coincidence?)

First thing is try is sticking the stock one back on & see if you still have a problem.
You might need an hour on a Dyno to remap the fuelling for the new exhaust.

yes.. i´mf hoping its not the muffler.. the new one sounds and looks much better and cost 350 euros..
i was told remapping the fuel system is only necessary when changing the full exhaust system

2016 - that would make it an AL7? 7800 rpm would be roughly 100 mph/160kph. I don't think the exhaust would stop it revving in top unless it was partially blocked. It may alter the power delivery slightly which would account for the changes at 5k/7k rpm. Will it reach redline in 5th? Do you have the original exhaust/could you refit it?

How many miles have you done? When was the last service? The AL7 takes a unique NGK spark plug (4), have they been changed at the last service (some dealers don't do it - they cost £12 each). I am assuming you have no error codes. Has your fuel economy changed?

in 5th it revs a bit higher about 9000 rpm..( i´m guessing maybe the shop messed up fitting the muffler or the muffler as a defect)
i´ve done about 15000km (9400 miles)on the bike, bought it new
i´ve been to the dealer 3 times for regular maintenance but i think they haven´t changed the spark plugs yet (will have to check this).. i would be happy if that was the problem

yes the fuel economy has changed but not significantly, from 4.2 liters/km to 4,3

i think so.. its the 2016 sv650 abs model..
the best fuel consumption i´ve had was 3,8ltr/km was taking it very easy on the throttle.. (this was before the issue after installing the muffler), i usually don´t drive fast but do accelerate when i have the chance
i´m taking the bike to another dealer, hope they find the problem.. someone also mentioned that perhaps i need to retune the ECU for this exhaust
in the other gears it revs a bit higher in the 9000/10000 rpm range..
i´ve thought about removing the baffle, maybe this weekend i will and see how it goes..
