Re: My new SV 650 S
Well, after all the snow and being left for long periods of time outside, the bike still started without any problems. It has not been ridden now properly since late summer.
So impressed have I been with how it has coped, it has a new home - inside, under cover, and somewhere where it is virtually impossible to be nicked. I am much happier now. Leaving it at work was always an option, but now I have done it I am much happier all round. |

Re: My new SV 650 S
The cover was put on the right way round weeks ago. It has to live there, nowhere else for it.
Whilst it is at work though it is safe and dry. |

Re: My new SV 650 S
Now it is a bit drier, my bike fluctuates between work and home, but I will be having it at home most of the summer.
I have been hard at work digging a ditch in my sandbank for thr bike. Whilst it rained I had to return and put down bricks to put the stand on, as the bike stand started to sink in the sand and it leant over to one side badly. The Stormex is an amazing cover but fiddly to get on and I have kept this to use if I leave the bike for long periods only. I have bought another Rainex, a simple throwover with under strap, and this will keep it clean so long as it does not rain heavily. I am constantly cleaning it anyway so before any meaningful ride or period sof rain, I will detail it and it will be showroom for a few days. Here is my ditch! |

Re: My new SV 650 S
If my neighbours complained about where I parked my bike on communal ground I'd do my utmost to make the thing as large as possible and take up a whole car space - cheeky barstewards. WTF do they think they are?

Re: My new SV 650 S
Dunno if id park mine in a layby overnight.. Deffo wouldn't unless it was chained to
those damn posts.. Always through the rear wheel though the front comes off alot easier.. Mind you the back will too, to a pro.. ... ... Frame it is if it fits, I'd just tidy the crap away.. A bit of leveling.. And tough cardboard boxes underneath to stop you sinking.. And if the mesh fence is not wanting to play let the chain through.. Well I'm sure someone will lend you some clippers lol. Nice Sv.. Needs fairings though IMO.. Makes it look faster |
