Strangest Christmas experience?
A few years ago I was working over Christmas on a ship.
We were in Weymouth and had been ashore on Christmas Eve for a couple of pints. Safely tucked up in our bed onboard, someone kindly soul cast off our mooring lines at about 2 oclock on Christmas morning. Luckily because of the flow, they couldn't cast off one line, so there we all were in our freezing bare feet trying to get back alongside. We did it eventually & went back to bed. Later on we sailed from Weymouth to Dartmouth and arrived in Dartmouth wearing our Santa hats. Then we proceeded to have one of the best Christmas dinners every.  Maybe not strange, but odd. I won't forget it
