Pointy K3 Cuts out

Hi, any tips please?

My K3 pointy has been running fine since I've had it, but in the last week or so it has developed the habit of cutting out once early in each journey. Its like the tickover is too low and it cuts out. I've check the temperature and its running between 52 and 78 degrees when it does it. It starts up again no worries straight away and doesn't happen again that journey. Its only done about 12k miles, of which I've done about 2k in the last few months I've owned it. I serviced it when I took ownership but it didn't need plugs or an air filter as the the service schedule didn't require it, perhaps I should change these too?

It ticks over at 1000-1100rpm...is this correct or does it need to be higher?

Pop the tick over up a bit. It should be 1300 +- 100.
Also check the carb balance.

I would also start by raising the idle to 1300, its the magic number

Then look at balancing throttle bodies etc

Thanks guys, the tickover was a bit on the low side. Two seconds with a phillips screwdriver and its now at about 1250 when hot. The stalling is a thing of the past. All sorted.
