if its still in warranty then any suzuki dealer should replace it.

if not then the part number you are looking for is 57560-05A00 and should cost about £12-13. word of warning.. the screw that holds it in is a fekin nightmare, part number 57562-41G01 expect to pay £8-9 for that.

you might get lucky with the screw.

just measured the screw and its M3 x 20mm counter sunk.

Does that mean it will start in gear?

Not much of a safety feature if so.

Thank you Bibio. And others. It is always an education!

OK to ride in the meantime?

yes its fine to ride till fixed but you will stall at junctions if you dont keep a little revs up. dont leave it too long to get fixed as its part of the ecu clutch helper system.

Needs to be in gear for this test because in neutral it will start with the stand up.

nope even in neutral the bike will not start. its a redundancy test by the ecu.

the bike will start with the sidestand down and clutch in when in neutral but will not start if the clutch is not pulled in.

to test the sidestand switch yes you put the bike in gear and sidestand down but you first make sure that the clutch switch is working. to do this you must bridge the clutch switch wiring to the harness.

test sidestand: bridge clutch switch wiring to harness, put sidestand down then try and start bike in gear.

test clutch switch: put bike in neutral and dont pull clutch lever, sidesatnd up or down.
