Default Newbie here looking for advice

Hello everyone, don't know if this is the right section for advice. Hope you don't mind

I'm looking to buy a naked SV650 on an 02 plate, it's in black, less than 3000 miles and in mint condition, and restricted
Cost £2200 which is a tad high.

Was black a colour for that year I thought they only did blue, red and silver.

I'm looking at the SV cause it's a V twin.

I ride a CBR600F ( I'm not a sports bike wallah though) and the daughters NC30 which I like

Any comments welcomed.

i paid around that figure for my sv thats been modified loads and is a fully faired one.

i would definately shop around before you buy because theres nothing worse than feeling robbed or finding one a lot cheaper once you have bought it.

i browsed ebay for months and autotrader until i found one that caught my eye and i tell you what the waiting paid off

If its a genuine 02 bike it will be a K2 and have preload adjusters on the fork tops.K1 and before did not have them.Being an older model is no reason not to buy though,as at that age condition is far more important.Check also if it is a parallel import(Kph speedo and Euro headlight?).Check the V5.If you find any of the above, offer a lot less dosh if the bike is otherwise good.Offer less dosh anyway
