looked a bit into it and been offered

LG heat pump
instant hot water thing
12 newer more efficient solar panels
new rads for heating system

all fully fitted lets say £230 mth fixed for 10 years

pro's
solar will generate about £20-50 mth back
all new stuff and fully leccy so only one standing charge

con's

Is this under the UK ECO4 grant scheme (or Scottish equivalent)? If so it should all be free. I know several folks around here who have had solar panels and heat pumps / new rads under the scheme, none of them paid anything. To qualify you need to be in receipt of one or more of these benefits..

Child Benefit
Pension Guarantee Credit
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
Income support
Tax Credits (Child Tax credits and Working Tax Credits)
Universal Credit
Housing benefit
Pension credit saving credit

yup its under the grant scheme but its all been done away with and now its only £7500 interest free.. i think. its called warmer homes or something

For Scotland, you can get a grant of up to £7,500 (£9,000 in rural properties) for energy efficient home improvements. You can also get a loan of up to £7,500 to install renewable heat in your home.
