Default Just got my first motorcycle!

06' Red Sv650S!!! Wahooo, put 500 miles on her in the last two days, love the sound of that V-twin, anyone know which can is cheap, looks good and sounds great and boosts performance?

Also does anyone make color matched Chin fairings?

None of them - despite what makers and owners will tell you.

Is that the same as a bellypan? If so then I think it's Poly26 that seems to be well regarded, if not them then Suzuki make some bodywork accessories - dear though.

Hah, thanks guys, I LOVE RIDING, yes it could be belly, my friend just called it Chin, its the ferring that the Sv1000's have on them.

So which "can" really brings out the roar of that v-twin ( I love the sound of a v-twin, untill I rode this guy I didn't know the difference in sound between I-4's and V-2's now I can really tell, v-twins just sound MEAN.

Really? Nothing?
So.. everthing else being similar, there is no differance between an Akro and suzuki stock in power?

Oh, BTW Ice-Is-Scary, I really like the Remus GP high level pipes. They have a lovely sound, and look class.

Hmm... Not too sure about that either. Ride did a test of 20 different makes on a GSXR recently and found all different results (in a rather stupid move, they decided to mark the cans up for power gains, but down if they made the bikes run lean ) If the question was "which gives siginificant powe" I'd totally agree though, any difference is pretty trivial.

No, not what I said, as we all know the standard can is whisper quiet - which demonstrates how well designed it is, even if you abandon all efforts at silencing it's really hard to improve much upon it power-wise - and between all others, there is an infinitesimally small amount.
All 'race cans' are a perforated tube in a pretty wrapper (Stainless/Titanium/Carbon/) of your choice. It is fair to say that differences in the length or diameter of said pipe *might* change the characteristics of the motor slightly, however just about aftermarket pipe available, for any given bike and certainly the SV, is as near identical as makes no difference. Also the can that XYZ maker sells for the SV is the same can as they sell for umpteen other bikes too, only changing the end plate such that it is suitable to physically fit, ie clamp on plate, three bolt fitting, four bolt fitting etc etc.
