What I do is make sure I'm not on Auto-renewal(remind myself to contact them). As I paid cash they can't take any money of me at renewal time anyway.

Then get a new quote with the details you want and or shop around again.

A couple of years from now I might be able to go back to Carol Nash on,"Classic" insurance

Well, it's renewal time and they have slightly increased the cost due to me changing the bars from standard - I think it's a case of any excuse to hike the price. A pair of bent Renthals will be cheaper than a standard pair (if you can even get them). The real B*stard is that they have doubled my statutary no claims to £400 which is a major pi$$-take so I am looking elsewhere - any suggestions of who are good and cheap at the moment?

I just did my renewal yesterday with Bennett's through mustard. Weirdly they quoted 400 direct and came up as 225 on mustard exact same details 🤔

Ended up paying 300 as took the peace of mind package with legal, gear cover and RAC including recovery as planning a few long rides and didn't get the option to add exhaust on the mustard site.

Seat cowl and screen change didn't need declaring and neither do the braided lines or heated grips I hope to add later so won't get his with mid term modification charges 😀

40, 1 years ncd, full licence for 18months and BikeSafe. Compulsory excess was also only 300 and I added another 100 voluntary

I always use comparison sites and it varies day to day. I've just insured through Devitt but the actual insurance company is Ageas, which is who I was with previously through H&R insurance. It was 25 quid cheaper through Devitt but I only pay 68 quid fully comp and no voluntary excess so 25 quid is a canny percentage saving. I had been comparing for a month or so and Devitt had never come up so I'm guessing they must've had a special offer on at that time. Quidco have a comparison site and can work out quite cheap when you get cashback offers.

Carole Nash has done mine for the past couple of years, the premium dropped by £30 and the excess dropped by £50 too this year. I haven't passed any age milestones either.

i have just taken out their breakdown cover £53 compared to AA wanting £122.25. Bikesure also gives euro cover as standard, only thing is that you have a max of £3500 in total cover for year, so if you breakdown in europe and get relayed home it could actually take the whole £3500 to get you home. if i'm lets say in Durness on holiday then it could cost £600 to get home. you dont pay up front then have to claim back its all sorted by Bikesure (Carole Nash).

Just Motorcycle Insurance underwritten by Carole Nash, had a 50cc insured building NCB for a year, cost me £20 odd in admin fees to change to the SV, paid something like £105 this year at 29yo 1yr NCB, full licence 12 years, exhaust mod declared, datatool S4 not declared (I didn't know what model it was at the time)
