Default std sprocket size??

well i'm wanting to know standard front and rear sprocket sizes on a 99 650s as mine are due for replacement and i'm wanting to go -1 on the front and +1 on the rear.
am i right in thinking this will down gear it a fair bit?

Standard rear is 44 teeth front is 15 teeth.
Droping one on the front will improve acceleration but may effect top speed.
Renthals are a good bet, although I'm running renthal front sprocket and SuperSprox rear.
