Default Derestrict 2000 SY model HELP!

Hi there everyone

I have just bought my SV650S but have still got a few months left on 33bhp and i want to go full power.

I think the way to derestrict it is by removing something near the carbs. Is this the case? If so whats the best way to go about removing it?

Cheers

Wait till you can de-restrict legally then get a dealer to do it

Its on the intake on the carb, a smaller washer is used to let the fuel air intake in. (i think)

So all u need is to replace the small restricted washer, with the normal one that the SV came with originally.

Default Derestriction

Cheers for the info guys. Turns out, just lift the carb a bit and ping out the large, and might i add very expensive, washer thats just on top of the cylinder head and job done. its good for 130mph now so very happy. Just dont tell anyone :) Full race system next!

When you took the "expensive" washers out, did you have to incert any replacement washers ?

My licence has too just come up to 2 years and I want to do the same.

Cheers

Default Washers

I have not put any washers back in at all. My understanding is that you do not need to. Mine works fine anyway.

Do you realise that you are now

i. Driving without a license
ii. Driving without insurance

and if you have an accident or a roadside inspection you could get discovered and

i. be disqualified from driving
ii. get a custodial sentence

Right i am on my high horse and am happy to stay there,

What gives you the given right to decide when you can de restrict your bike............

As you can see there are many of us here who are on 33 bhp and who are sticking it out! What makes you so special, you would hate it if comeone hit ur bike and u couldnt claim caouse they were unisnsured, so y r u risking doing it to someone else,

I know this forum says respect otheres veiws, what you have done is not a point of veiw it is blantantly Ilegal!

Grow up, put them back in, and wait, if i had ur reg i would be very close to calling the poilce.
