Default My Euro Trip

Howdy,
Things are now coming together and we're leaving on the Sunday of the AR (so no late night drinky poos on Saturday).

We're traveling.........

France
Italy (just)
Switzerland
Germany
Luxembourg
Belgium

Anything we should be knowing\looking out for in these places. I've already read about the possible speed traps in France - but I think we've decided to take it pretty easy and enjoy the scenery, rather than whistle through everywhere and not see owt.

So just after any hints or tips for these places if you all knowing org have any.

Taaaa

Spend as little time as possible in Belgium. It is incredibly boring

What I found was -
1) You need a carnet (available at all gas stations) for the motorways in Austria and Switzerland (and I think Czech Rep - but ask). The Austrians are real strict 'cos they finance their basement extensions with the fines.
2) Speed cams in Switzerland are head-on, so you need to practice letting go of the handlebars to give the correcty signals. A facist salute should have them looking in Germany for you.
3) Do not miss the Dolomites! (I also have detailed 'biker' map area for if you like)
4) If you are at Squires on Weds I shall bring a sh*t load of maps if you like.
Failing Squires - pm me and we can arrange a map handover
errr . also - don't practice that "driving on the other side of the road" thing until you get there - its fooking dangerous

Lol, thanks for that. Yeah - should be at Squires this week, the maps would be fantastic - and also a bit of first hand experiance would be brill.

I'll drop you a PM about Squires this week.

Cheers,
Phil
