Baptism of Fire
Hey all,
OK after going against the more experienced riders sound advice , I went out to south Queensferry to get my bike. When I left work the rain had stopped and it seemed to be clearing up, well that’s my excuse and the fact I couldn’t wait (I know maybe I should have) As I battled my way across Edinburgh centre on buses and avoiding the football supports around murrayfield it slowly started to sink just how wet it actually was and it was fast becoming dark! GULP! All the way out to SQ there where cars plowing through rivers of water on the road and I was (to be honest) a lil nervous to say the least! Got SQ got the bike and drove it all the way back! Locked the back wheel up once trying to stop at a set of lights (oops wont be trying to do that again in a hurry!) Arrived home a lil wet but with a big grin!! Drove it to work the today cause thats all i have been talking about and everyone wants to see my new toy! Cant wait until the weekend arrives going out for run! yeha!! Cheers |

Good stuff! The buzz has just begun for ya!
I remember passing my CBT and "racing" away from the first set of lights I came to on my 12bhp 125 mean machine, and quickly realised I was not going to make the next corner cos the road was wet and i had never taken a turn at speed(ahem 40mph ). Stood the bike up and went straight onto the opposite side of the road and stopped at the kerb. The approaching van driver was not really in any danger. O f course I looked down at the side of the bike as if to say "mechanical fault" and also so he could not see the vivid red glow from under my visor. Looped it a week later cos I thought I had wheelies nailed I think I am just trying to say go easy , you got all the time in the world but you will have your fair share of "moments". Thats unfortunately(?) part of the buzz. |

You're out of your mind, clearly, but well done! Today's your reward, I think. Lovely out there...
