Default tilting motorcycles

I never really saw the point of the Yamaha Niken since it will fall over when you come to a stop unless you hold it up.

This guy's product seems much more sensible although I'd have preferred it to be narrower:

It's not really that different? Still relies on a side stand

Nope, did you not watch the video? It was on its sidestand until he switched the leveling on at which point the bike aligned itself to the horizon. It then held itself level while you or your passenger climbed on. The leveling stayed on when you accelerated but after 1 mph (if I recall) it switched to behaving like a regular bike. When slowing down it depended on the way you were riding whether it kicked in but typically the leveling would engage at 7 mph.

So it only needs a sidestand if you were parking it, but at traffic lights you could keep your feet on the pegs whereas the Niken would fall over.

I had a ride on my Dutch mates Piaggio and it's great. Leans like a normal bike round corners, but come to a stop it's set to automatically stabilise itself, magic in traffic. His had a cover to go over your legs, so because you don't need to put your feet down, you can wear normal trousers and keep warm. It had a massive fairing, do it keeps you pretty dry most weather, although he wears waterproofs if it's really wet.

It's good for commuting, big enough stash under the seat for his crash helmet, and has a huge toolbox for shopping.

I think the Niken is the only tilt three wheeler that doesn't lock itsself upright?
My favourite of this breed is the Quadro4D

The Niken by comparison is a very bad joke.
