Now that is really cool.
God knows how much a bike with that lot would be, however it's nice to see they have the backing of a big brand.
I do wonder how well that mechanism would function after a slide on tarmac.

That looks amazing, but I do wonder about the forces which keep the pinion in contact with the plate - to me it looks to me that it's just the axle maintaining the friction. If it ever starts skipping, it's game over. There's also no way of free-wheeling at the moment ... I'm guessing this will be limited to track bikes for now.

... still, pretty cool.

As others have said it would probably benefit from being contained in a frame or swingarm like on a motorbike...but I've also bent the chain gear mech falling off many a bicycle.
