Default new bike time?

Had the sv for about a year now, and even tho its been a great bike, i think i'm getting bored (i do get bored easily) the main thing being when i was shopping for a bike i was looking for naked stuff most of the time, i like the timeless look about them, so faced with a couple of options:

take the fairing of my sv - to make it naked, which will end up costing me money, and probably losing out in the long run,

selling the sv for something naked, baring in mind i will only have the money from it, say £1500-£2000 to buy a bike and end up with something like a bandit (which everyone has, but does that mean there good?)

swap the sv for something naked, but what?

swap the sv for a naked sv?

if I was you and had your budget, I'd keep your bike, get naked and go to svrider.com where you will find a multitude of bikes which will convince you to stick with what you have.

Just remove the fairing and stick a round headlight or something off another bike for a new look. The SV is a great platform for a special bike. Not a lot of bikes out there which can give the same satisfaction of making your own special. As etuna said just look at svrider for inspiration. I did and look where it got me...

Why not sell your current SV and buy a newer naked one? That way it's an upgrade but still on a familiar bike.

he has the same budget though. I prefer the S bars on an N personally though it depends if he has the cash to convert.

£2000 will buy a newer naked, easily a low mileage pointy in that budget.

I thought he only had the cash from selling his K1 naked (from his post) - depend on what he will get from that

Not sure how much newer he will get tbh. Are nakeds much cheaper? I seem to recall about 10% though I can never remember.
