Yes. They actually keep your hands warm!! The heating elements are down the back of your hands and round the tips of your fingers - right where the wind blast gets them.

Matt
They are thicker than summer gloves but alot thinner than normal winter gloves. They also have a visor wiper on the thumb - very useful!

Righto, time to drag this old thread back from the brink - I'm looking at some heated kit for 'Er Indoors (sssh though, it's for Xmas...) and I'm now down to either Gerbing or EXO stuff. The EXO Storm Rider waistcoat looks the danglys, but it's pricey.

If it IS the danglys, then the pricey bit I can live with, (brownie points are strong currency in our house!) but it's got to be good!

Anybody got one on here?

It's this stuff by the way, you need to scroll up a bit to see the Storm Rider vest.

I was going to get a set of the gloves, but at £130 plus £60 for the power pack.... a bit too dear.

I have looked at these before .... but its a shed load of money for my 30 minute commute ....

Maybe I'll see how cold I get this year with my new clothing, and heated grips ...

Good investment I suppose if you use it a lot ....

My justification I suppose, is she's not only outdoors a lot of the time, be it on the bike, a horse or snowboard, but she's the coldest tattie on the planet, and would ride the bike wearing a duvet if it was at all possible.

My gf is also permanently cold. Planning on a skiing trip, but the battery pack only lasts 3 hours, which places limit on its usefulness.

Would you buy a couple of extra battery packs?

Not at £59.99 each I wouldn't imagine, I think you can get 12v cigarette lighter chargers for them though, which might be of use?

Glad it's not for you, might flatten your battery

I'm not sure if it's in this thread, but I had some Exo gloves for a little while and they weren't good. The heated part was great, the glove part was pretty awful- the thumb wiper's so stiff that you can feel it right through the glove, instantly uncomfortable before you even start riding, and the rest of them feels cheap and horrible- no pre-curved fingers frinstance. Like a £10 bike show glove. But I did get the impression they were paying attention to the criticisms, and there's been some changes since I gather.Still, gloves are hard to make and I was pretty impressed by the heating element in them, better than Gerbing.
