nice one. Maxton service them so no probs there. Mention your weight etc and they'll make sure you get the correct spring too.

It's going straight back to Maxton as soon as it arrives here - they rebuilt the internals of the Maxton shock on my Gixer thou and did a wonderful job of getting the spring rate spot on for my weight.

both ends of the speed triple were re-built by Maxton, good job then done as well.

Cheers Mark.

They modified the forks on both my Firestorm and my Gixer Thou to suit me. Until about 2 1/2 years ago I was seriously underweight at 9 stone, so suspension always needed sorting professionally.

yeah I had to fill out a questionaire thing so they could tune the suspension to me, seemed very comprehensive.

Cheers Mark.

All depends on what you need doing, like if a spring change is needed, and changes to the damping rate. I haven't paid for a shock rebuild for about 6 years, and it was 85 quid back then. The Gixer one was rebuilt under warranty because the seals blew prematurely.

Having the Firestorm forks modified cost me 250 quid in 1998
