Helmsley TT - Saturday - numerous traffic officers about

There were a couple of cop cars sat about the Helmsley - Stokesley road, so anyone heading out that way this afternoon stay safe

Just had the pleasure of driving this road while on holiday in Ripon. Just wish I had done it on my bike but unfortunately it was in the cage.

Seems like you are blessed with loads of good roads in your area A170, A61 Ripon to Harrogate, A684 to name a few that I found but there must be many more. Saw loads of bikes at Helmsley on a Tuesday evening about 8pm.

Hopefully next time I'll be on the bike.

The only traffic cops I saw were on the A1M and they were very conspicuous as the had their blue lights on and the speed camera poking out the window. How very thoughtful.

In fact the only cops I saw in the whole trip were in Yorkshire and confined to the motorways / trunk roads. Is this usual?

Nope all the roads in Yorkshire are rubbish, and there are always loads of police everywhere. I recommend no one comes here from afar on a motorbike, ever.

Oh well, in that case I'll stick to my original plan and do the Stelvio pass next year instead.

Totally agree with Tim. In fact it is so bad you should be avoiding the area in cars as well. There are rumours of plague as well. Not worth visiting. Spread the word amongst friends too.

+1, all the roads are Cack.... and we all smell and have ring worm... Stay away from these roads and parts if you know whats good for you...

Hmmm. sounds like you are trying to keep the roads to yourselves. From what I saw there were plenty of very happy bikers hooning all over the place.

Happy bikers? No mate ... they may have had a smirk on their faces as the GP just confirmed no chlamydia this time only craps. But we are not happy here.
