Default K5 gsxr thou shock going onto k5 pointy - will I need the lower gsxr shock bolt?

As title really, if anyone knows, could they please let me know.

Oh and you get extra bonus points if you could let me know where I can get hold of the bolt & nut from if it does need one (which I think it does)

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you will need the bolt and a locking nut as I think the SV one is too short.

Your local Suzuki dealer will be able to supply one. Dont use any old bolt, it's important you get the correct grade and shouldered length. Put the bolt in from right to left, with the nut on the sidestand side of the bike.

But you won't have time to do it as you're finishing the second Catherine Wheel video. Man Up Paul!!!

Search for the part number here, and order the part here (takes 2-4 days).

Anyone know what the best way to manuevre the battery tray around is?

On mine I ended up with the undertray lowered 10mm for the SRAD shock to fit ... and the battery raised up with the tray cut out to fit the ZX6R shock... So I'm no stranger to such bodgings, but I haven't done this particular swap before.

on the pointy i moved my hole battery box/tray back about an inch and it let the gsxr shock fit in a treat.and you dont have a lump out of the battery box bit nor the bottom of the seat 2 give the battery space.

robinsons foundry didn't have them in stock = 2-4 days

went with spares direct who've got them in stock, delivered tomorrow for 6 quid. Not bad... Any tools I need to bring with me yc? I'm scared. Is everything gonna be alright?

Yes; and you'll need a big torque wrench... If I recall, it needs to be torqued to something like 90 or 100 nm.
