Question Am I missing an exhaust clamp?

Evening guys

I noticed earlier that there is no clamp on the join between my header pipe and the centre section of my exhaust, just a rusty area where it looks like there may once have been one. I pulled away a very small piece of rusty metal that was still attached (barely) - you can see where it was attached in enclosed photo. It doesn't seem to be leaking, but should there be a clamp there? Been like that since I've had the bike and I was going to touch up the rusty area with some high temp silver paint, but now I'm thinking should I put a clamp on there?

Ha, you are probably right

Is it worth putting one on there or leaving well alone?

Yeh should be a clamp. And polish, don't paint

Looks like something I need to add to my list of things to do then. God knows why it's missing Any ideas which size I would need and whether I can put it on without separating the pipes? ( I know they screw together to tighten but not sure if they can be fitted over a joined pipe).

If it doesnt leak or just slightly just put the clamp over and tighten it up to seal. Thats what its for and for a fiver cheaper than trying to fit new gaskets.

Yes! They seem to rot away to nothing there.
Its around 44mm IIRC. I used a little bit of exhaust putty just to make sure

Cool. Do you know if the clamps come apart so I can get it on the pipe without dismantling anything?
