So as mentioned I got it back this afternoon. I struggle to find the neutral and the light never came on the dash once found. I also have a check message on the dashboard, and the injection pump didn't start until I push the kickstand up. The ingnition pump started and the engine started very easily. Run normally (sound wise)

How to reset the message which I am assuming is there because the bike was on his side, and would it affect the neutral light, or would you think the gearbox got damaged?

Thanks again for your kind words, really want it to be fixed and fit to ride again!

Right to keep you up to date.

I played with the gears just now and the neutral light came back. No more messages on the dashboard.

However my exhaust has been scratch pretty badly and is now leaking, problem is that I need to get the bike to an MOT test before the end of July. Am I right thinking that would be a failure due to the gaz leak on the exhaust?

Quick update

The expert should be there tomorrow to asses the bike. In the meantime Dalton White is taking my case and they feel it should be settled without going to court. The driver is going to be prosecuted by the police for dangerous driving, which is going to make my claim even stronger.

I am still unable to walk without crutches, I am going to the physio on Wednesday and should know more.

Quite funny that my boss rang me, telling me that he hopped he was going to sell the bike!! Told him that if it wasn't going to be fix I will have another one before being able to walk again...

Right,

The expert just came and the bike isn't repairable!! Now waiting for the valuation and will be looking for a new bike.

This is really annoying has I have a new Michelin pilot road 4 (front), all new brake pads, new air filter, new spark plugs....

Yeah that for sure, still not walking properly and off work.

However white Dalton are on the case and it should be settle quickly.

Now the question, what bike to buy? I loved the sv but the wife wasn't comfortable.

I am tempting by a fz6s, would love a speed triple but the are very expensive and the lack of fairing put me off a bit for those long journey....

How about a V Storm?
Same but different and adventure style bikes are all the rage.

Gosh no!!! Thanks but no no no...

Still liking the triumph street triple or looking at Honda hornet!

Question, if I remove few part on my sv before she gets taking away do you think I have any risks? Thinking of belly pan, "carbon rear hugger", fender extender.
